Down a back alley in Sanlitun is one of Beijing’s best pizza joints. The Tree has a neighborhood pub feel with a huge wood-fired oven in the middle of the restaurant. It is actually deceptively large and the dark wooden interior extends through three different rooms. Their thin crust pizzas are done to perfection and smothered in genuine mozzarella and as many toppings are you can handle. We recommend ordering one per person or getting a few to share around the table. They are also favored for their extensive collection of imported beers such as Hoegaarden and Beamish on tap as well as a wide assortment of Belgian beers. There is a long bar area in the second room that is great for mingling over a pint. At dinnertime it’s hard to get a table so you better come early.
