Located in the Russian quarter of Beijing, Chocolate takes the cake as the most over-the-top nightclub in the city. As you descend the escalator into the outlandish chandeliers and gilded toilets you might as well be in Moscow as China. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Chocolate has a certain ‘last night on earth’ appeal. One might say that Chocolate is unapologetically inspired by the LAN Club but the barely dressed blonde dancing girls have a distinctly Russian flavor. Live music is mixed with the latest Russian pop tunes and piped in Russian satellite TV. Line your belly with some Siberian treats before you polish off that bottle of vodka or absinthe. There is also, oddly, a branch of the Bank of Beijing inside. This is definitely the place to let out your inner hedonist.
