The Private Room
The Private Room is actually a collection of 16 private dining suites, each uniquely designed by the cutting edge Japanese design team Super Potato in contemporary Chinese, modern Italian and natural styles. The smallest rooms can host six guests while the largest suites can hold a party of 24. Each suite comes complete with a private pantry and dedicated butlers that give the impression that you’re hosting a dinner party at home – if you keep a uniformed staff, that is. Yiu Choi Law, the Hong Kong-bred chef, specializes in Cantonese cuisine, which is considered the crème de la crème of Chinese cooking. Their most popular dishes include barbequed tangerine beef ribs, barbequed honey glazed fatty pork and braised abalone served with truffle rice. Chef Law’s seafood soups are particularly delicious and made daily with fresh ingredients and natural mineral water – keep an eye out for the Cognac lobster soup. For dessert we suggest trying the Chinese delicacy of steamed imperial’s bird nest with almond crème.
