Sitting high atop Beirut’s jewellery market, Momo at the Souks is Mourad Mazouz’s latest addition to the culinary world. In true Mazouz style, this den has an identity of its own. With an up-and-coming design and being snuggled in amongst greenery providing a safe haven from busy city life, this latest venture is certainly individual. And, best of all, unlike Mazouz’s other restaurants Momo at the Souks is affordably priced, meaning the restaurant’s clientele stretches beyond solely the crème-de-la-crème. The fodder, always top-notch, is a blend of French and North-African cuisine. The fois gras with quince chutney and traditional Moroccan tajines are the stars of the show.
