Wadi Walima
Tucked away in the once-cosmopolitan and resolutely commercial Hamra, this wonderful little Beirut restaurant, with its beautiful garden terrace, provides an unexpected oasis of calm in the city.
An old house with little rooms leading off from the centre, it is simply decorated and offers a creative Lebanese menu with local wine and a delicious brunch option. Better for lunch than dinner, Wadi Walima never gets too crowded and is well worth a visit if you’re in Hamra. This is a truly local hangout with good service and good food at reasonable prices.
