Hg2 : The Hedonist

AUB Museum

The American University of Beirut/AUB Museum, built on a hill overlooking the sea, is one of the greenest and lushest locations in Beirut. It’s a beautiful and relaxing place to wander around and enjoy the old buildings, which date back 150 years. The campus is open to the public and certainly worth a few hours of your time. The university’s archaeological museum was founded in 1868 and features a collection of Lebanese and Arabic artefacts and coins from the Stone Age onwards. There is also a selection of pottery and terracotta statuettes, and lectures are given throughout the year on a range of subjects.
