Of Berlin’s bars this long, narrow bar is testament to the ability of great design to transform an otherwise unpromising space into a haven of cool. Sleek, white and über-chic, it’s akin to taking a leap into the future. And though ‘stylish all-white, well-lit tunnel bar’ may sound like a trendy step too far for some, the bar actually provides substance as well as style. There are DJs most nights, drinks are modestly priced, and the service is friendly and attentive. Of course it doesn’t quite live up to the reputation and glamour of its neighbours (see Victoria Bar), but it is generally lively and provides a palpable buzz as well as a decent, mixed crowd of young and young-ish regulars.
