Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer
Set in the Adlon Kempinski hotel next to the Brandenburg Gate, the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer boasts two Michelin stars and a glittering reputation as one of the best dining rooms in the city. Chef Hendrik Otto is behind the wheel, and strives to create “exciting, expressive, European-inspired cuisine.” The restaurant oscillates between its storied reputation – it has existed in various guises since its founding in 1907, and is the home of classic dishes like the Adlon sole filet and canard à la presse – and its newfound pizzazz. Newer menu additions include plates like halibut with citrus confit and goose liver with orange peel, coffee, truffles, almond, brioche, and polenta. While a meal here is certainly wallet lightening, odds are it’ll rank for many diners as one of their all-time, top dining experiences.
