Fusion restaurant Remake is a slick addition to the Berlin scene. Run by young, talented head chef Stephan Maron the restaurant posits a ‘French world cuisine’ that prioritizes healthy, organic ingredients and a great deal of creative imagination. The menu and various degustation options promote quail breast combined with bitter chocolate foam, and scallops dressed with pumpkin and passion fruit sauce, all complemented by the 200-strong wine list. The smart, but small, venue is housed within terracotta walls and tiled floors. And though the food is refined – and reassuringly expensive – staff are friendly and helpful. If time is an issue be warned, since everything is prepared fresh allow a gap between courses, though as with most good things in life, the wait is more than worthwhile.
