The soft brown suede sofas and leather stools give the feel of an elegant café, but the hanging beads by the bar and black-and-white photos of classic 50s stars definitely defines Accento as one of the bars in Bogotá. High-end magazines are scattered throughout the bar and gorgeously glossy books on art, architecture, history and more are available to browse and purchase. The design is bright, with elements of pop art, and is a popular choice for pre-dinner drinks. The food, meanwhile, is more elaborate than standard bar food, with salmon tartare and sweet brie salads making a welcome appearance on the menu. The wines are mainly Chilean and Argentinean, and there’s a big choice of martinis to choose between as you peruse the various displays. Accento may get a little quieter after dinner, but be sure to stop by for an early evening cocktail.
