In keeping with the trend of amalgamating restaurants and bars in Bogotá, a rather Colombian fashion, Isola serves pizza straight from the wood oven and is a good place to go for a quick dinner, especially on a weeknight. However, Isola’s main appeal is as a casual place to enjoy a bottle of wine and cut loose. The crowd here is less young than elsewhere in Zona T, and many have swapped their office shoes for heels on their way home from work. As the alcohol flows the electronic music gets louder and Isola starts to resemble many of Zona T’s other bars, only at a slightly slower pace. Isola isn’t quite as frantic as most Zona T hangouts, but it still has a great atmosphere and fun crowd, so if you want to enjoy Bogotá without going too crazy, then Isola is the perfect choice.
