There are just a handful of tables, a couch and some stools inside, all of which are hot commodities in the busiest hours because this is one of the best pubs in Bogotá. The Monkey Pub serves up dozens of types of beer and a range of pub-grub that incorporates Colombian cuisine (great quesadillas), standard pub fare (burgers and sandwiches), and of course English food (the greasy fry-up is a must). The pub itself is prime viewing space for football matches every Saturday morning, and on Wednesdays a band is (miraculously) crammed into the cramped space. It’s not overly glamorous, yet its good quality drinks and food have lured quite a following. Certainly, as you drive past the balcony on a Saturday, the rowdy clamour is proof that Monkey Pub knows how to have a good time.
