The Irish Pub
The Irish Pub is always brimming with people (including Mondays, when the rest of the bars in Bogotá are quite sedate), though thankfully the many rooms and comfy stools mean that there’s always somewhere to sit and drink. The décor is very authentic and cosy, with a huge array of liquors lined up behind the bar and plenty of Irish paraphernalia to peruse. The owners and waiters are welcoming, as are the locals; the space is often filled with businessmen as well as a strong ex-pat community of bar propper-uppers. Beer from the Bogotá Beer Company is sold here, so it’s always easy to down a few types, and the pub food is a standard fare but of good quality. There’s nothing extravagant or overly luxurious to be found here, but there’s an exceptionally good atmosphere to soak up.
