Tirana is one of the bars in Bogotá which has carefully considered every detail, including the drinks menu, which looks somewhat like an aeroplane emergency manual. Downstairs is a long line of bar stools and small sand-filled tables where customers begin the night with a relatively quiet drink. Meanwhile, the upstairs corridor is a narrow space that leads people to the dance floor. Tiny red, orange and yellow lights frame the wall and music throbs as the party gets well and truly underway. The customers at Tirana will dance in any available space, slopping their martinis as their hips swivel. There’s a long list of drinks on offer, though the coconut martini is particularly delicious, and will have even you up on your feet in no time.
