Kukamaraka is one of the large, yet simple clubs in Bogotá. It has a raised platform for live bands and upstairs balconies that provide a great view of the action. There are a few tables dotted around the side (but you have to arrive early to grab one) and an oversized dance floor with more than enough space for revellers. On good nights (they are rarely bad), the club is the perfect gig venue and you’ll have to find a waitress on the dance floor to order a drink. The club is popular with the gay community but not exclusively so, and overall Kukamaraka has a very energetic, open-to-all vibe.
