Blazers suit the men’s shoulders, while their female cohorts traipse hazily through the corridors of the Boheme Royal, one of the party orientated places to stay in Bogota, hidden behind oversized sunglasses. This is not a hotel to stay in if you want to sleep. Adjacent to a host of clubs, a casino, and close to a construction site, you’ll be lucky if you manage to rest from 4am-9am. But this isn’t really a hotel for sleeping; it’s a hotel for stumbling three steps outside, straight into another club or bar. For the few hours you’re inside, the 66 rooms are compact but comfortable, with a small sitting room in superior suites. The lobby feels more like a waiting lounge than a hotel, but the slim brown piano and display of cupcakes at the bar are appreciable touches. Children are not advised, and the upper age limit is probably 25.
