Casa Dann Carlton
Casa Dann Carlton’s revolving glass doors lead onto such a stirring mass of business activity, indeed it is one of the foremost business hotels in Bogota, that the hotel’s foyer resembles a somewhat disorganised office block. Heels tap their way along the marble floor, and business suites are the dress code du jour. Indeed, the entrance hall is extremely large, with a somewhat impersonal feel. But the hotel isn’t used as an intimate boutique; many diplomats stay here for months on end, and facilities are intentionally designed for corporate purposes. In each of the 330 suites, the sitting rooms are particularly spacious, ranging from the sizeably large to the ridiculously oversized. The smallest contain a desk, sofa, three armchairs, a bar and a small dining table, while the largest include an extra sofa and second dining table. For some reason, there’s also a strong focus on toilets, and even some of the smaller rooms include three loos.
