Museo de Arte Moderno
The Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, or MAMBO, is one of the museums in Bogotá which will keep you entertained for quite a while. The four-floor building contains six large exhibition rooms, photography room, cinema, two sculpture courtyards, library, bookstore and restaurant, the layout of which was designed by celebrated Bogota-based architect Rogelio Salmona. Inside are several permanent exhibitions, which feature an impressive collection of international masterpieces and prominent Colombian artists. MAMBO is paritcularly keen on fostering Colombian art, and great works by Alejandro Obregon and Santiago Cardenas are hung alongside Miros, Bacons, Picassos, Chagalls, Hockneys and Warhols.
