While the president resides in this Olivos neighbourhood, any Argentine with an ounce of fashion sense will tell you that Sunset is the most tacky, cheesy, footballers’ wives, aftershave-soaked pit in town. They are right. Sunset is just that, but also provides a glimpse of the real Buenos Aires, and delivers a brilliant, although somewhat alternative night out.
rnThe music policy is eclectic to say the least: the two dance-floors play anything from Cumbia music to trance, while overworked barmen serve mediocre drinks from the bars.
rnAdditionally an outdoor patio, swimming pool and two VIP rooms form the remainder of the club. Occasional live music shows and strippers entertain the inebriated revellers when they’re bored of self-love.
rnIf the cut-throat Buenos Aires scene is getting the better of you, take a break with a night at Sunset, and return home when the sun rises and it’s time for the after-party.
