Hg2 : The Hedonist

Guido’s

Think stylishly cluttered walls, Buenos Aires’ in-crowd of wine buffs, cocktail-making celebrities and a cellar full of full-blooded Argentine reds. Owned by the Sosto brothers – sons of Guido Sosto who owns the now iconic Guido’s Bar around the corner – this red-painted building is all heart, and you will love it.
rn
rnChef Silvia Krestchnel, one of the few female head chefs in Buenos Aires and a protégé of Argentine celebrity chef Francis Mallman, churns out what she calls ‘Italian cuisine with an urban touch’. The ravioli stuffed with diced lamb covered in rich tomato sauce are as wholesome and tasty as they sound.
rn
rnAlso on the menu are inventive sweetcorn tarts, cheese starters and a host of rich pasta dishes. Don’t bother picking up the wine list: they will pluck a killer bottle out of the cellar for you after they have grilled you about your likes and dislikes.
