Restaurant Azimut

For dining out in Courchevel on a truly French meal (i.e. something deliciously fattening), head to Restaurant Azimut. Michelin-stared chef Francois Moureaux wanted to be a firefighter when he was a boy and even served with the Pompiers. The lure of the kitchen proved too strong, though, and the award-winning teenager followed his father into the family profession.

Hearty French cooking – fish fans excepted – makes an evening trip to Le Praz more than worthwhile. And with everything served up in an homely dining room, it’s hardly surprising that the reservations book is fit-to-bursting.
