But they’re a popular one, with everything from classic Old Fashioneds and the much-favoured mojitos to more eclectic libations, like lavender martinis. The food menu, meanwhile, is as international as its brand. Baja fish tacos and bruschette jostle for space on the list of starters, with chicken satay, lamb pita pockets and salad niçoise making an appearance in the mains. There’s a raw bar, sushi, sashimi, caviar, mezze platters and more. The only drawback is the inevitable need to make a choice. There’s only so much you can enjoy – especially if you’ve got an eye to sashaying around the pool with the other sleek sun worshippers.

Attached to the hotel and spa of the same name, and the executive lounge, Nikki Privé, which offers views of the bustling beach club below and stunning views out over the sea, it’s not hard to see why visitors wish every day could be a Nikki Beach Dubai day.
