XVA Art Hotel
Dubai’s bohemian epicentre, XVA Gallery, has revamped its original guesthouse into an Art Hotel, offering six unique rooms, each decorated by noted regional artists, and all with WiFi, private bathroom and air conditioning. XVA offers visitors a rare chance to stay in one of Dubai’s few heritage buildings. The 100 year-old villa in historic Bastikiya has such traditional features as open garden courtyards, wind towers, and majlis meeting areas, with views of the Creek. Along with the guesthouse there is the famous XVA Gallery, run by Mona Hauser and considered the source of Dubai’s contemporary art boom, as well as a charming café (Gordon Ramsay is a fan of their delicious mint lemonade) and gift shop. Atmospheric and original, XVA will appeal to those seeking a genuine Dubai experience rather than an international hotel chain.
