This award-winning golf resort is one of the Middle East’s most luxurious. The championship course was designed by Colin Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead and covers 265 acres that consist of 123 acres of turf, 49 acres of man-made lakes (a total of 14), 93 acres of landscaped gardens and is scattered with 81 large bunkers to provide an undulating links style golf experience. It is probably most famous for its 656 yard 18th hole. There’s also a floodlit 9-hole par 3 academy course, driving range, putting greens and Troon Golf Coaching. After-golf pleasures include treatments at the Angsana Spa, dining at Nineteen, and staying in of the most attractive, expensive golf resorts ($24 million was spent on the clubhouse alone) in the region.
