Mesale Cay Bahcesi
Occupying a corner of the Blue Mosque’s complex of buildings at the end of the Arasta Bazaar, Mesale is an atmospheric sunken teahouse. Post-sightseeing, it makes an ideal spot to rest underneath the shady awnings, have a nargile, drink or snack. Unsurprisingly, its location means it’s ever popular with tourists, though in the evening workers from local shops and businesses come here, too. There’s traditional live music, as well as Dervish performances most nights.
