Nature and Peace
Nature & Peace was one of Istanbul’s first restaurants aimed at vegetarians in the city. Recently rounding out 15 thriving years, the owners have now made a slight foray into the world of chicken and fish, presumably because strict vegetarians are so rare here. Nevertheless, the family-run eatery has a good, healthy menu, including bags of pulses, rice and beans. There are also creative takes on traditionally meaty Turkish dishes, such as veggie manti (mince-stuffed pasta in garlic yogurt sauce) and meat-free köfte (meatballs).
