The House Apart
A slick concept from The House Café – purveyors of a dozen superb restaurants in the trendiest areas of town – is this apart-hotel scheme. All in all around 30 cute, fully-equipped apartments are dotted throughout Istanbul’s most atmospheric neighbourhoods where the big-brand hotels just can’t reach. Apartments vary in styles – many with parquet floors, some with whacking great terraces – and range from 30- to 60-square-metres in size. Don’t expect designer luxury, but all locations come complete with fast WiFi, soft linen and a kitchen large enough to bust out a mean imam bayildi. It’s the other perks that really offer value, especially for the price. All guests receive complimentary access to the city’s hi-tech Mac gyms and a belly-busting daily breakfast in any branch of the House Café.
