Changa is well known for offering one of the best places for dining out in Istanbul and in November 2005 the owners opened a new restaurant in a setting as impressive as its cuisine at the Sakip Sabanci Museum.
Overlooking the Bosphorus amid lush gardens, the historical Atlikosk (Horse Mansion) that is the museum and its new gallery spaces host a variety of exhibitions including the much mediated recent Picasso retrospective.
The restaurant sits adjacent to the Atlikosk in a new glass clad building, the interior of which has been designed by Autoban to create an atmosphere ‘that gives the feeling of the owner’s parents’ homes in the 60s and 70s in Ankara”. Its stylish, but domestic mood complements a visit to the museum perfectly.
During the day Müzedechanga offers a light lunch menu and in the evening a selection of Turkish dishes accentuated with Mediterranean tastes and textures. In the summer, visitors can sit outside on the restaurant’s terrace, with views of the water, and surrounded by gardens and culture it’s a seriously idyllic place for a dinner for two.
