The name of the Istanbul sports club derives from the lighthouse located in the district (‘Fener’ in Turkish means lighthouse, ‘bahçe’ means garden). Fenerbahce is also a multi-sports club with a range of sports teams wearing the Fenerbahce colours competing in Basketball, Athletics and Boxing. Fenerbahçe play their home games at the Sukru Saracogclu Stadium in Kadikoy. Tickets for matches are usually available on match day.
