Turn ‘n’ Tender has been around for a while, well into its fourth decade of operation this small and well regarded steak house has become a Jo’burg instituion. Meat-lovers flock here in their carnivorous droves to sample melt-in-your-mouth steaks. In fact pretty much everything on the menu has been cut from some animal or other, so vegetarians might need to look elsewhere. Know-it-all waiters are on-hand to advise novices on the different cuts of meat and the best wines to match them. The simple interior is rather basic, with dark wooden tables and chairs, concrete flooring and orange-hued light emitting from the cylindrical shades that dangle overhead.
