Mandalay Bay
Tucked inside a lush tropical entrance on the south end of the Vegas Strip is the Mandalay Bay resort hotel: one of the grandest hotels in Vegas. It is the centre of a three-hotel complex that includes the Four Seasons and THEhotel. Its guests vary as much as its attractions. There are the well-heeled mature couples who actually stay in the hotel and appreciate the high calibre of the traditional tropical room design, families who come to enjoy the highly-guarded Mandalay Beach with wave pool, and Gen X and Gen Y nightlife-lovers partying at House of Blues. More recently, MB has become a dining destination for culinary connoisseurs sampling the celebrity chefs of the new Vegas; Aureole, Red Square, 3950, China Grill, Charlie Palmer and Mix are all stars on the Sin City restaurant scene. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and the best rooms overlook the pools. The top room class is the Mandalay Suites, which have an additional room, while the Junior and Executive suites don’t. If you want a good view of the Strip, ask for a room on the 20th floor or higher.
