Located out by Nellis Air Force Base and hidden behind an enormous fence is one of the bet golf courses in Vegas. This Tom Fazio-designed Vegas golf course, rumoured to cost $60-million, sits on 350-acres and features waterfalls, streams, lush tree-lined fairways, exotic birds and a colonial-style clubhouse. You’ll swear you’re anywhere but Las Vegas. The course is open only to guests of MGM properties. Private cars are not allowed on-site and are turned away, even if you show up in your rented Hummer. Transportation is provided by the hotel. Guests can make weekday reservations, but the hotel must ‘invite’ you to play on weekends. Talk to the concierge, money in-hand. Be warned: Don’t go on windy days-Steve Wynn built the course near a pig farm and on windy days, well, you can imagine the aroma.
