Of all the bars in Bairro Alto, this one is consistently popular – even on a week night. That’s partly because colourful owner Gabriel is friends with half of Lisbon, and partly because it’s a damn fine place to drink away an evening.
Music comes courtesy of a makeshift stereo system, but an impressive selection of CDs is enough to keep the ambience merry.
The brightly coloured bar is small, but most of the action takes place on the pavement between Diário and bar Suave opposite. An ‘in’ crowd of pleasure-seeking trendsetters from their mid-20s upwards meet here before heading to club Lux.
