Tom’s Deli
Tom of Tom’s Deli happens to be Tom Conran, son of the illustrious entrepreneur Sir Terence Conran, who is due to take over the Conran group of over 55 restaurants in London and other destinations. Despite this connection, Tom’s Deli remains a small and friendly café/deli that keeps the community of Westbourne Grove coming back for more, and happy to queue for its tables on the upper mezzanine – and that speaks volumes, since they’re quite a demanding and privileged lot. Something of a specialty food shop, Tom’s is devoted to sourcing the very best in European delicacies, including English smoked duck, Italian chorizo, French country ham and Greek olives; also available are plenty of beautifully packaged biscuits and sweets, plus ready-to-eat meals. The café serves up continental dishes, without overlooking the Great English Breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes.
