Mews of Mayfair
Hidden down a cobbled backstreet in Mayfair, within stumbling distance of Bond Street station, this charming four-story Mews house offers a relaxed haven from the hustle and bustle of central London. The discreet Brasserie has a lively, unpretentious ambiance that instantly makes you feel right at home – but don’t think for a second that the team here would skimp on style or service.
The chic décor – a mix of airy neutral hues, contemporary furnishings and finishes – and eccentric details compliments an equally chic and comprehensive menu of modern British culinary classics. There’s ample choice here and a wide variety of small dishes and bar food sit alongside heartier fare like Twice Cooked Pork Belly, Guinea Fowl Leg with Pork and Apricot Stuffing and Rib Eye Steak.
If the weather’s on your side, pull up a chair in the outside courtyard and enjoy a drink, or few, al fresco. The cocktails are superb (the Rose Grape and Lychee Ginger are particular favourites) and for the discerning wine connoisseur there’s an impressive array of vintage champagnes and a star-studded wine list to work your way through.
