Michelin-starred Chef Antonio Mellino succeeds in bringing an authentic slice of the Amalfi Coast to London with his version of Mayfair fine dining.
In true Italian fashion, Quattro Passi is an authentic family affair, with Mellino’s sons Raffaele and Fabrizio also working in the restaurant.
This is soul warming Southern Italian cuisine at its best; the fish is cooked to perfection, pasta dishes are full of big, gutsy flavours and the famous Amalfi lemon is used in abundance. You can’t help but marvel at Mellino’s incredible attention-to-detail, right down to the stunning chandelier centrepiece adorned with hundreds of silk petals and the generously sized bread basket stuffed full of freshly baked focaccia and friselle.
Whilst the prices err on the extravagant side, diners are left feeling satisfied that they have paid for the quality of Quattro Passi’s ingredients and cooking, not just its W1 postcode.
