Drink, Shop & Do
Located near King’s Cross station, Drink, Shop & Do rolls shopping, design, art, drinks, food and activities into one really cool spot. The shop near the entrance is stocked with many vintage items, from sweets to vintage teacups and games, many of which you probably haven’t seen since childhood.
Beyond this retro funland, pretty much everything at Drink, Shop & Do is for sale, including the chair you sit on or the teacup you drink from. During the day, Drink, Shop & Do acts as a proper London tea room and café serving tea, cakes and light bites, and for groups of five people and over, there is a choice of ‘afternoon tea’ set menus. In conjunction with afternoon tea, there is a menu of ‘dos’ on offer, including wine tastings and vintage pin-up hair and make-up sessions.
A range of ‘Do’ activities, most of which are free, start at 7pm and can be accompanied by a strong specialty cocktail. Events like ‘game of consequences’, ‘play dough boom box’, ‘doodle club’ and ‘dot-to-dot-to-disco’ offer a chance to, cocktail-in-hand, connect with your inner child. Downstairs is Drink, Shop & Do’s ‘dirty little secret’: Drink, Shop & Dance, which opens at 6pm and offers classic and speciality cocktails, a DJ and dance floor, and its own set of (mostly dance-related) events.
