The Comedy Store
London’s premier comedy venue is arguably the most sanitised, and often with a famous line-up (Mike Myers, Ruby Wax and Graham Norton have all trodden its boards) performing stand-up, improv and topical satire. Its house troupe, The Comedy Store Players (a team of seven including Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence and Neil Mullarkey plus guest stars), performs improv on Sundays and Wednesdays. But all is not lost for sell-out shows, as they often are – 70-100 tickets are made available on the door. And if heckling from the back is not enough, there are open slots for the public at the King Gong show, the last Monday of every month.
