Hidden away behind a black curtain, you’ll have to do some detective work to find this one, but it’s a treat once you do; graffiti artwork and only the best in electronic dance music makes this old school ballroom an interesting choice.
Create is all about artistic experimentation. Electronic music junkies come here for its niche and eclectic selection of acts, and the chance to party in an old fashioned ballroom. It’s all about the theatrical here; the art work has been provided by Alec Monopoly, a street artist whose adorned the walls with irreverent, Andy Warhol-esque graffiti; a weird and wonderful paradox to the chic and classic décor.
Music is the main draw, but when it all becomes a bit much, there’s an Asian themed outdoor area with its own bar and plenty of VIP booths for Hollywood’s glitterati to relax in. And to top it all, an intimate gothic styled lounge can be found nestled secretly at the back, perfect for a break from the revelry and a cold gin martini.
