Largo at the Coronet
Relocated from its beloved Fairfax berth to this less intimate but vastly more accommodating digs at the historic, 280-seat Coronet Theater with a huge stage and the smaller 65-seat Little Room, Largo has evolved from eccentric indie darling to a full-fledged but still off-kilter institution. It still regularly hosts experimental performances from musicians like Amiee Mann and Michael Penn and comics like Sarah Silverman and Pattton Oswalt, drawing a wide-ranging audience known for its anti-mainstream tastes. Minus the old distractions of its former food service and whirring bar blenders, the new Largo maintains its cool private-club feel – just with more seats – and remains faithfully all about the show.
