Rainbow Bar & Grill
In a past life as the Villa Nova, The Rainbow was the site of Marilyn Monroe’s first date with Joe DiMaggio, but at the height of the heavy metal music scene of the 1980s and 1990s, it was where teased-haired titans dined and downed Jack Daniels. From the looks of it today, the rockers have yet to go home (everyone from Slash to Lemmy to Brett Michaels still makes the scene). Practically a Metal Edge museum filled with lazing, leather-vested lotharios and enhanced hotties hung up on G ‘n’ R, it’s worth a trip for the tattoo-watching alone – and the food in the idiosyncratically Italian bar is roadie-licious. It’s as close as you can come to being on tour with Motley Crue circa 1989.
