Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles
Funky, envy-inducing, musically aspirational – these are just a few of the words that come to mind when thinking of Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. And with Ace x Rega RP1 turntables and acoustic Martin Guitars found in some of the homey-cum-industrial loft-style guestrooms, it’s not hard to see why. Add to that impeccable public spaces like the rooftop pool and bar that regularly beckon the city’s creative set for cocktails, parties and meetings, and you start to glean why this hotel has won over many a Downtown LA naysayer since it opened in 2014.
One of the latest incarnations of the hotel concept Ace Hotel, this outpost is found in the 1920’s Gothic-style building once home to the United Artists theatre in Downtown LA and exhibits the unmistakeable Ace style throughout (equal parts creative, utilitarian and almost tooth-achingly on-trend). Rooms are named according to size – ranging from Small to Suite – and come with features like Rudy’s toiletries and Smeg fridges. Even the artwork on the walls has been sourced from local artists, lending the Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles yet another trendily “authentic” feather in its already stylish cap.
