You’ve probably watched Gordon Ramsay throw a hot-headed fit on television, reducing some poor chefling to tears or infuriating a restaurant owner with uncensored criticism. Or perhaps you’ve been on the east coast and scored a table at the London’s Manhattan outpost. Whatever you think about his personality, you have to admit that the guy knows what he’s talking about. Ramsay oversees every morsel at the spectacular London – located in the former Bel Age space – and pulls many a trick out of his sleeve. All you and your taste buds need do is relax into the funky pastel environment (courtesy of Brit designer David Collins), allow the knowledgeable wait staff to guide you through the grand menu, and let the night take you away. Just a sampling: pressed Hudson Valley foie gras tapioca, roasted monkfish tail with fennel hearts and baby root veggies, Colorado lamb loin with perfectly braised shank, and a delicate pineapple soufflé with Thai curry ice cream and toasted coconut.
