If you’re looking to fan the fires of love or get seduced by a kitchen with all the smoothest moves, make this Italian stallion your next stop. From the second you step through the door, the venue wins you over with its abundant candlelight, high ceilings, stone floor, and jovial staff. Once seated, it’s a steamy culinary rendez-vous. The far-reaching wine list is impressive, and the menu of seasonally inspired classics is hard to choose from. Antipasti take lovely twists and turns, perfectly prepared pastas are embellished with a light hand, and the fresh fish offerings pack big flavors. There are numerous nightly specials, too, so don’t rush to make a decision. In fact, don’t rush for any reason. (Do make a reservation, though, because these are close quarters, and the local fans will gladly take your place.) Oh, if you’re into this sort of thing, one of the three pleasant owners is Warren Cuccurullo of Duran Duran. Rock on.
