Marula
If there were an award for cramming the maximum amount of fun into one of the smallest possible places, then it’s very likely that the smallest of the nightlubs in Madrid, Marula, would be the hands-down winner. Marula is not much more than the bar area and then a small dance floor, but the funk and soul that are the staple diet of the loyal patrons ensure that such spatial restrictions are not an issue, as everybody gets their groove on.
In a marked contrast to the sardine-tin atmosphere on the inside, the bar boasts a sprawling outdoor terrace come summertime, which, given its location in a little nook underneath the Puente de Madrid bridge, makes for an attractive spot to enjoy a chilled out caña in the cool evening air.
