Hotel Hesperia Madrid
Billed as the first of Madrid’s five-star contemporary hotels, Hotel Hesperia Madrid is a member of the exclusive ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ collection and set new standards in accommodation in the capital when it opened in 2000.
Hotel Hesperia Madrid is located in the financial and diplomatic area, and is, on weekdays, mainly a business hotel. The Hesperia’s public areas were designed by Pascua Ortega, known for his work in the Teatro Real and the Hotel Adler. The overall look is Oriental chic (feng shui meets cutting-edge design). The 170 rooms and 34 suites are light, spacious and fitted out with all the latest mod-cons and luxuries, including Bvlgari products in the bathroom.
The hotel is home to Santceloni, one of Madrid’s top restaurants, and an intimate Scotch bar serving more than 70 single-malt whiskies. Although there are only limited health facilities, guests get free access to the nearby Metropolitan, one of the city’s most prestigious health clubs.
