This relatively new hotel in Marrakech comprises 19 extremely well-appointed rooms – the two-bed villa is our personal pick – as well as an on-site restaurant, spa and fitness centre. There are five shimmering swimming pools to choose from, too, and plenty of quiet nooks in which to enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet.
Meanwhile, there’s a family-style approach to dining and guests can choose to eat with owner François Chapoutot or alone, should solitude or indeed romance be on the menu. What makes the hotel truly special, however, is the art collection that furnishes its interiors; large sculptures dotted around the place include the works of Rodrigo Solorzano, Guy Rougemont and Leopold Maler, while frescoes by famed pop artist ERRO adorn walls.
And if that wasn’t inspiration enough, a topiary sculpture by Richard di Rosa greets guests at the hotel’s entrance. Check-in and check it out.
