The devil is in the details at the Riad Noire d’Ivoire. This is a luxurious, nine-roomed hotel where the pool has a two-storey cascading waterfall flowing into it, where mobile phones are provided to make guests’ exploration of the souks easier, and where, in a city full of narrow lanes and puzzle box houses, the three Master Suites each manage to have their own rooftop terrace and a jacuzzi. The decor is elegant throughout and guestrooms are styled around their namesakes; the Master Suite Zèbre, in addition to the unique objets d’art and antiques found in all the rooms, is home to some chic black and white striped upholstery.

Dining is available throughout the day at the Riad Noire d’Ivoire, but the three-course evening meal is a particularly romantic choice (especially when enjoyed in the candlelit central courtyard), with guests having a choice between mouthwatering Moroccan or French cuisine. And the spa, presided over by Madame Coco, offers a full menu of facials, massages and other treatments, in addition to a traditional Moroccan hammam.
