The Pearl Marrakech
With swathes of plush velvet as far as the eye can see, it’s fair to say that The Pearl Marrakech is a palatial place to stay in the city’s leafy residential neighbourhood, Hivernage. But it’s not just velvet. The hotel’s interiors are adorned with marble, hand-carved wood, and jewel-tones. There’s a glittering mosaic pool in the luxe spa downstairs, and an open-air lounge on the roof, with views out over the city and the Atlas Mountains beyond, not to mention potent cocktails. And on the floors between, The Pearl Marrakech offers international and Moroccan dining, a fitness centre and hair salon, and a traditional Hammam. And, of course, 27 suites and 44 guest rooms.
The accommodations here are all spacious, whether you’re staying in a Deluxe room or the aptly-named Royal Suite, which, incidentally, has more than enough square-footage to comfortably include two richly-furnished bedrooms, a dining and seating area, and a king-sized bed bedecked with crisp white linens. The rooms all feature high-end amenities alongside Moroccan lighting, local artwork, decadent soaking tubs and, in some cases, guests have the run of their own Juliet balconies, with views out towards the Koutoubia Mosque.
