Les Enfants Terribles
When dining out in Megève, you’ll be hard to find somewhere with more elegance than here. Part of the Sibuet empire, Les Enfants Terribles is found in the sumptuous Hotel Mont Blanc. The restaurant’s thoroughly modern design has a theatrical theme to it, carved curtains and ceilings, and is inspired by pieces from Jean Cocteau and Jean Marais scattered around the room. The open kitchen is a focal point for the room and the ‘theatre’ of the cooking – the noise, the smells and the movements filter out into the room. The upmarket French menu draws influence from the region and the emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients is apparent throughout the year as the menu changes from summer to autumn to winter. An extremely elegant, long, dark glass topped bar is the perfect place for a pre-dinner glass of Champagne or a post-prandial Armagnac.
